My research is generally concerned with understanding the cognitive and motivational processes underlying attitudes and attitude change. I take a detailed, analytic approach to studying the mechanisms that explain people's inferences and attitudes, as well as the change and maintenance of these inferences and attitudes. Some specific research interests include: behavior change in different ethnic, gender, and age groups; health disparities.
